Meet Dr. Lee
Dr. Heather Lee received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Wake Forest University and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She grew up in Haywood County and has been practicing dentistry in Western North Carolina since 2011. In her free time, she loves creating art, hiking, discovering delicious restaurants, and traveling with her husband, David, and their son, Noah.

Our practice is composed of wonderful, genuine, caring, talented and fun people. We love working together to deliver the best care to our patients every day.
DAVID WHATTON
David plays a multi-disciplinary role in our practice. He is our office manager, insurance manager, information technology guru, Mr. Fix-it, organizational enforcer and also is the husband of Dr. Lee and father of our mascot, Noah. David enjoys playing all sports (especially soccer), camping, and game night with friends. He also is a hobbyist pizza and ice cream maker, with plans to expand to breads and other baked goods.

Hygienists
MOLLIE FENNIMORE
Mollie is originally from Pennsylvania and moved with her family to Western North Carolina in 2005. She enjoys the outdoors, swimming and spending time with her children and four grandchildren. Mollie relocated from Hendersonville to Waynesville in 2020 to work with Dr. Lee and is already a thriving member of our community. She is a seasoned hygienist with an eye for detail who has a passion for people.

ANDERS HEFNER
Anders was born and raised here in the beautiful WNC mountains she loves to call home. She loves living life with her husband Jordan, and their vivacious sons Colt and Reed. They have two horses named Bandit and Pilot and their family dog Lakey Lou. Anders’ family enjoys camping with their horses, golfing, and spending time outdoors. Anders has been working in the dental field since 2012 and her favorite aspect of working in dentistry is educating patients about their dental health and helping them overcome dental anxiety.

BROOKLYNN SMITH
Brooklynn was born and raised in Waynesville, where she cheered for and graduated from Tuscola HS in 2014. She has been interested in dentistry since she was a child which led her to study Dental Assisting at AB Tech. She graduated from AB Tech in 2018 and initially worked in pediatric dentistry before joining Waynesville Family Dental in 2020. She enjoys spending most of her time with her husband Brian and their dogs: going to the lake, working out, and exploring how to live an active and healthy lifestyle. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is the ability to connect with, help, and educate people about dental health.

TALITHA HICKMAN
Talitha began her career as a dental assistant 26 years ago in the state of Texas. She enjoys developing relationships with her patients and goes above and beyond to ensure their comfort. Talitha has been married for over 29 years to the love of her life, Jim. Together they enjoy the outdoors and frequently can be found camping or mountain biking. Talitha is also an accomplished baker and enjoys reading and spending time with her cattle dog, Zoe.

HENRY DENDY
Henry also hails from Waynesville and trained to be a dental assistant during his time in the US Navy. He enjoys outdoor activities with friends and his dog Freya, including: hiking, camping, and snowboarding. Henry also intends to further his dental education by attending hygiene school in the near future.
